      Spend an evening immersed in the music of American composer and pianist, George Gershwin. The Firelands Symphony Orchestra and Chorale will be joined by Kathryn Brown, soloist for “Rhapsody in Blue” a unique composition of jazz rhythms and melodies. Guest vocalists Michael Preacely and Kishna Davis return to our stage performing selections from “Porgy and Bess”, the most important piece of American music written in the 20th century.

Our guest artist, Andrés Cárdenes will perform Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 2.

Over the span of his 20-year career, Pavlo, the internationally renowned, award-winning recording artist, performer, songwriter, has traveled the world and produced 11 albums of his own music.

      Pictures at an Exhibition

    • Description
      Pictures at an Exhibition, Mussorgsky’s famous composition inspired by a memorial exhibition of drawings and watercolors is a suite of ten pieces best known in orchestral form as arranged by French composer Maurice Ravel. The evening’s event with include a pre-concert exhibition, featuring works by local high school art students, inspired by the suite. Entries will be judged prior to the evening with winners featured during the performance. Our guest artist, Gavin George, 15 year old musical prodigy will perform Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 1.
