*** FREE OUTDOOR CONCERT ***
Come out and listen to the group, Samba Joia, which includes Dylan Moffitt, Firelands Symphony Orchestra’s very own Principal Percussionist. 10 performers will entertain you, including a trombone player and dancer. This is a family and kid-friendly concert which will engage you with samba reggae style music. This outdoor concert will be held at beautiful Victory Park in historic downtown Vermilion (Rt. 60/Main and Ohio Street on the Village Green).
Samba Joia, Cleveland’s own Afro-Brazilian percussion ensemble, has reached audiences through Brazil’s rich and diverse rhythmic culture for over a decade. Specializing in the samba reggae and samba batucada styles, the ensemble aims to provide an engaging and interactive experience for all one beat at a time. They are a mix of musicians, from students to community members to professional level players, ages 12-60, who share the same love of the warm Brazilian culture.
