FSO Coronavirus Statement: Cancellation of Spring 2020 concerts May 22, 2020
The Firelands Symphony Orchestra thanks our supporters for their patronage. The health and safety of our patrons, musicians, staff and volunteers are our highest priority. With the continued uncertainty of coronavirus restrictions, the FSO Board of Directors made the difficult decision to cancel the March and April 2020 concerts.
We thank our sponsors and donors whose generous underwriting made our 2019 -2020 season possible: The Randolph J. and Estelle M. Dorn Foundation, ECCF, the Stein Foundation, Ohio Arts Council, Geotrac Foundation, Schlink Foundation, private individuals, and others.
We ask ticket holders for these cancelled concerts to please consider donating the total value of thesetickets to the FSO as a tax deductible donation. Every donation helps sustain the orchestra today as we plan for the future beyond the crisis.
The concerts affected are the following:
- Havana Nights: March 28, 2020
- Sax in the City: April 18, 2020
- Essence of Beethoven: March 22,
Ticket holders do not have to do anything if they wish to donate the ticket value; if the FSO has no response by June 30, 2020, the FSO will add you to the donor list and send a receipt for taxes. However, if you wish a refund, we will be happy to do so. Please contact the FSO either by email FSO@FirelandsSymphony.com or leave a message (419) 621-4800.
