    Each year, the Firelands Symphony Orchestra brings our guest artists and musicians into local schools across North Central Ohio to perform, teach and encourage choir, orchestra and band classes. Additionally, we bring an artist or ensemble to three elementary schools for a multi-grade interactive music presentation (up to 375 students).

Did you know that ticket sales cover only 25% of the cost of producing FSO’s concert series and community engagement programs? Nearly 3/4 of the orchestra’s budget comes from grants, special events and donations from concert-goers like you.

      For decades, musical scores have created the soundscape for romantic movies and musicals we all enjoy! This romantic program, full of unforgettable melodies of the stage and screen will include music from Romeo and Juliet, Gone with the Wind, Cinema Paradiso and many other silver screen favorites. Over the span of his 20-year career, Pavlo, the internationally renowned, award-winning recording artist, performer, songwriter, has traveled the world and produced 11 albums of his own music.

      Pictures at an Exhibition, Mussorgsky’s famous composition inspired by a memorial exhibition of drawings and watercolors is a suite of ten pieces best known in orchestral form as arranged by French composer Maurice Ravel. The evening’s event with include a pre-concert exhibition, featuring works by local high school art students, inspired by the suite. Entries will be judged prior to the evening with winners featured during the performance. Our guest artist, Gavin George, 15 year old musical prodigy will perform Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Op. 43.
