TROMBONE

Angie Hunter

Angie Hunter studied trombone at the Conservatory of Music in Trossingen, Germany (Artist Certificate, 1999), as well as euphonium at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (MM, 1986) and Bowling Green State University (BM, 1983). She was the winner of the first Leonard Falcone International Euphonium/Baritone Horn Competition, held in 1986. Her teachers include Kenley Inglefield, Fritz Kaenzig, Brian Bowman, and Abbie Conant. Miss Hunter is co-leader of the German-American Christian brass ensemble eurobrass, which tours each summer in Germany and produced its sixth CD in 2018. 

After living and working for 27 years in Germany, in 2015 she returned to her home town of Greenwich, Ohio, to launch the Christian arts academy Vivace Arts. She joined the FSO trombone section in the Fall of 2018.
