Horn player Ben Reidhead has played second horn with the Fireland Symphony since 2012. He is also third/utility horn with the Canton Symphony and has held fourth horn contracts with the Cleveland Pops Orchestra, Mansfield Symphony, and Ashland Symphony Orchestra. He plays regularly with the Akron Symphony Orchestra, Cleveland Pops Orchestra, BlueWater Chamber Orchestra, the Blossom Festival Band, and the Blossom Festival Orchestra. By day he works as a product manager for Conn-Selmer, Inc., managing and designing Conn and Holton French horns and King and Conn marching brass.

Ben received his bachelor’s degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where his primary teacher was Richard King, former principal horn of The Cleveland Orchestra. He has performed with Lorin Maazel’s Castleton Festival Orchestra in Virginia and Muscat, Oman, at the Sydney Opera House with the YouTube Symphony Orchestra, and toured South America with the YOA Orchestra of the Americas. Originally from Fort Collins, Colorado, he currently lives in Pepper Pike, Ohio with his wife, violinist Erin Reidhead and their four children (a violinist, a bassist, a cellist, and an undecided toddler).
