J.c. Sherman is Principal Tubist of the Firelands Symphony and the Snowbelt Symphony Orchestra.  He is currently the Instructor of Low Brass at Cleveland State University, and performs with every major ensemble in Northeast Ohio and Erie, PA.  He is also a member of Olympic Brass, Diamond Brass, Firelands Brass, and the NEOTuba Quartet.  Sherman performed with the Blossom Festival Band for 27 years and was a founding member of the Akron Symphonic Winds.

J.c. performs internationally as a soloist and historic instrument performer, and is a master craftsman, building and restoring antique brass instruments for clients worldwide.  He studied at the Oberlin Conservatory with Ronald Bishop and Raymond Premru, and with James Albrecht at the University of Akron.  A composer and arranger, his “Service Dogs March” and other works are published through LudwigMasters.
