Lisa Goldman, violinist, currently performs with the Firelands Symphony, The Cleveland POPs Orchestra, The Chagrin Valley Studio Orchestra, and Heights Chamber Orchestra with additional freelancing throughout NE Ohio.

A graduate from Cincinnati Conservatory, Lisa recently retired from the Beachwood Schools as Orchestra Director for 24 years and 13 years as the district Fine Arts Coordinator. Lisa was the 2017 Teacher of the Year from the Ohio String Teachers Association. Lisa has served as clinician, adjudicator, speaker and conductor for music education workshops and conferences on a local and national level. She served for two years as the orchestra mentor for the national organization MENC and has published over a dozen articles in the area of positive student/parent motivation.

A product of a musical family, Lisa has performed with the Trinity Chamber Orchestra, Canton, Akron Symphonies, and numerous additional groups in Northeast Ohio. When not teaching or performing, Lisa enjoys numerous interests including gardening and chamber music with friends. Lisa has 3 grown children, all of whom enjoy bringing the magic of music to others. She lives in Beachwood, Ohio, with her husband and several pets.
