Ron Brooker

Ron Brooker graduated from Bowling Green State University with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Music Education where he served on the faculty for the BGSU Summer String Institute. He taught strings and conducted orchestras for eleven years for the Findlay and Sandusky school systems. A former Ohio Music Education Association adjudicator, his ensembles regularly earned superior ratings at both large and small group OMEA adjudicated events. Ron is a former Associate Concertmaster of the Lima Symphony, and has played with the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra, Springfield Symphony Orchestra, and the Cleveland Pops.
Ron has been the Concertmaster of the FSO since 2002. He also serves as the executive director for the FSO. Ron is the first violinist in the Firelands String Quartet and has served as the Music Director for the Huron United Methodist Church in Huron, Ohio for over twenty years. He has played for many local high school musicals and has played for the Huron Playhouse and the Sandusky State Theater. Ron is married and has a blended family of five children and two grandchildren.
