VIOLA

Victoria Goettel

Victoria Goettel, from Brecksville, Ohio, began her journey as a performer in 2019, attending CIM’s College Preparatory Program. She currently performs with the Firelands and Youngstown Symphony Orchestras and has recently attended notable summer festivals including the Encore Chamber Music Institute, Kent Blossom Music Festival, the National Orchestra Institute and the Brevard Music Center Festival Orchestra. She graduated from the Oberlin Conservatory of music in spring 2025, studying with Kirsten Docter, and is currently pursuing her masters degree in viola performance at the Cleveland Institute of Music with Lynne Ramsey.

Outside of chamber and orchestral music, she performs new works for viola and electronics and has a love for rock, electronic, and video game music. As a result of her passions, from 2022 to 2025, she founded and acted as Principal Director of the Video Game Cover Collective at Oberlin College, a student-run organization and ensemble dedicated to the arranging and performance of video game soundtracks by students in the college and conservatory.
